Banana Leaf @ Junkyard - Grand Millennium Plaza

Junkyard is run by the same team as Krishna's, the menu is the same and the food comes from Krishna's kitchen. As we don't eat fish head (sorry KK!) which is the undoubted speciality here we opted instead for one of the other banana leaf set meals. My choice was the curry fish slice, I don't know if they change the variety of fish but today it was tuna in a spicy curry sauce.
Junkyard is a kind of self service banana leaf restaurant. Your banana leaf arrives first then along comes the rest of your meal, a pot of rice, a selection of sides - achar, stir-fried green veg, spicy pumpkin and green beans and of course your personnel selection then you just dig in and help yourself! Overall the food was ok, I don't know why but I expected it to be so much better, maybe one day I'll be brave and try the fish head!!! Haha!

The Little Nibbler had the vegetarian set which came with a tasty dahl and vegetable curry.

Unfortunately I have to say the Lassi were a huge disappointment, I know Malaysians like their drinks sweet but these were just too sweet! The mango Lassi didn't really taste of mango and quickly curdled, both drinks tasted kind of artificial.

Junkyard is located at Grand Millennium Plaza directly opposite its Mother restaurant Krishna's. It's a bright, clean restaurant with a funky, eclectic decor, just check out the bike!!!

Ideas, concepts and principles!

The Bill : 1x Fish Set, 1x Vegetarian Set, 1x Mango Lassi, 1x Black Currant  Lassi = 24 MYR

Junkyards ambience is spot on and there's plenty of choice too!
