Drinks @ Beverage Stall - Grace Point Food Court

We decided to stop for a drink while we were buying bread at Grace Point Food Court. It's a nice place to sit and relax while having a cold drink or something to eat. I opted for a desert sized cendol, unfortunately it was only just ok and seemed to be lacking in gula melaka, there was some in there but not enough for my liking!

The Little Nibbler had a fresh coconut, we both actually prefer these cold out of the fridge but hey ho what are you going to do???

 

Grace Point Food Court is located next door to Grace Garden. Now that both sides of the food court are fully operational there's 2 beverage stalls available.

 

The Bill : 1x Cendol, 1x Fresh Coconut = 11.20 MYR

To be honest, the drinks could be and should be better @ Grace Point Food Court.

Hawker Food & Drink @ Tanjung Aru Hawker Centre - First Beach

The food at Tanjung Aru Hawker Centre can be a bit hit 'n' miss, luckily for me, today was more of a hit! I ordered mamak mee from Lot No. 5, though I'm sure it appeared from somewhere else?!? Fried yellow noodles in a very slightly spiced sauce with chicken, tomatoes, green veg, egg and peppers.

Ice blended milo from Lot No. 6, ice cold and delicious, sprinkled with extra milo. You really can't go wrong with drinks from this stall!

Cake & Drinks @ Cabana Country Cafe - Lembah Impian Country Homes Resort

After our trip to Dongongon we decided to stop off for cake and a cool drink at Lembah Impian Country Homes Resort. This was our first visit and we were surprised just how big the place is! It also seems like a favourite spot for pre wedding/engagement photo shoots as there were two or three happy couples posing for the cameras around the manicured gardens. Anyway back to our thirst and sweet tooth, Cabana Cafe was our location and we ordered a slice of chocolatey 'Dream Valley' cake to share which was very good indeed and The Little Nibbler ordered the delicious and very fresh homemade lemonade, we knew it was fresh as the waitress made it there and then! I had an iced teh tarik, though after tasting the lemonade I wished I had ordered that!!!

Coffee n Cake @ Secret Recipe - Suria Sabah

Secret Recipe describes itself as a 'lifestyle cakes and cafe chain' and is well placed around KK, Malaysia as well as internationally. The cakes here are pretty delicious, Chocolate Indulgence is probably my favourite but I thought I'd try something different today with the Cheeze Choc cheesecake, thunmbs up from me and probably anyone else who likes chocolate or cheesecake!

The Little Nibbler loves a brownie and ordered the chocolate brownie with walnut, covered with chocolate sauce. Big smiles from The Nibbler!

I ordered the ice blended chocolate, a bit of a chocolate overload to be honest! The Nibbler had a cafe latte.

We headed to Suria Sabah for our Secret Recipe experience.

Breakfast @ Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf - Damai

If you take a breakfast set at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf between the hours of 8 and 11am you get the added bonus of free flow tea or coffee to sweeten the deal! Though taking a look at the size of The Little Nibbler's latte, I think one's probably enough for any mere mortal! We both chose eggs benedict for our breakfast this morning, a thick slice of sweet brioche came topped with possibly chicken or turkey ham, two perfectly poached eggs and finally smothered in a creamy hollandaise sauce, a simple dressed salad of lettuce and tomatoes was served on the side. Now this is no traditional eggs benedict, I have to say I found the addition of brioche slightly strange to this otherwise savoury dish but, like most things, I did enjoy it, though I doubt it will rival laksa as my favourite morning breakfast!!!

Hawker Food & Drinks @ Taman Tun Fuad Stephens - Bukit Padang

When the hunger pangs struck, as luck would have it, we weren't too far away from food. Then again are you ever in KK??? A few short minutes later we pulled up at Taman Tun Fuad Stephens and headed for the small outside hawker centre located in the car park. Drinks were ordered first from Ah Yap ABC where there's a whole array of cooling delicious drinks to choose from, for a change I ordered the magic chocolate shake, my usual is the ais cendol which is very good indeed, not that there were any complaints about the shake. Slurpalicious!!!
 

I ordered the nasi goreng which comes with a whole heap of ingredients, pork, sausage, chicken, fish cake slice and egg, stir fried in a hot smoking wok. For me though nothing beats the mee goreng here, a must try dish in my opinion!

 

The Little Nibbler loves porky noodles and opted for the gon lau mee, not the best in her opinion but a satisfying noodle dish all the same.

Drinks @ Aruba - First Beach

Aruba @ First Beach is a great place to chill out on a hot sunny day, catch a beautiful KK sunset in the early evening or even hang out until the wee hours for that matter! It's an all-rounder! Today we thought we'd just have a couple of cooling drinks and enjoy the view. Vanilla Milkshakes took our fancy, so that was the order of the day! Whipped cream topped milkshakes with a cherry on top, what could be better? Well....maybe an ice cold beer!!! Haha.

There's been lots of development down at First beach lately, First Beach Cafe is currently undergoing what seems to be a major refurbishment. I wonder what it will be???

With views like these and such an incredible beach I hope KK authorities see sense and keep the beach clean. Maybe go one step further and redirect the drains that run into the sea. How fantastic to be a city with a beautiful clean beach! What a draw this would be for beach loving tourists! Of course we can all do our bit and use the rubbish bins around the place, corn-cobs and plastic bags have no place on the beach or in the sea!!!

Drinks @ Deli Cafe - Jalan Main Bazaar

Time for another drink stop, this time at Deli Cafe, a nice, clean delicatessen that doubles up as an Art Gallery!

Not being a coffee drinker I opted for the Ice Blended Chocolate topped with squirty cream and chocolate sauce. Nice!

The Nibbler loves Latte's so that was todays choice and by all accounts it was, lovely!

Drinks @ Magna Carta - Sarawak Tourism Complex

Another cooling drink needed during a hot day in Kuching! A nice ice blended chocolate was in order! It was exactly that, nice and chocolatey! Slurp!!!

An iced latte for The Nibbler, no complaints here!

Alfresco drinking/dining area.

Magna Carta is located within the Sarawak Tourism Complex which was in fact originally a courthouse, built in 1871. The building as a whole is stunning and Magna Carta is very tastefully decorated inside, keeping a lot of original features. We didn't get chance to dine here, but if you have, drop me a line and tell me how it was!
