Ramen @ Yamagoya Restaurant - Jalan Gaya

Another new eatery for KK, Yamagoya Restaurant a Japanese franchise offering authentic Japanese Ramen. Some of the menu items are not available yet, possibly to be introduced at a later date. As I'm quite a spice lover I opted for the Tobanjan Ramen, the pork broth was quite spicy, not too much and came with three thin slices of pork, sliced onion greens and another vegetable that I can't quite remember, the noodles were quite unique and different from any I've eaten in KK. A very enjoyable bowl of noodles!
 

The Little Nibbler opted for Menma Ramen, again with the same ingredients but with the added extra of bamboo shoots, this time the broth was mild almost milky. Have to say we both really enjoyed the noodles and it's something a little bit different in KK's growing eating scene, we did however feel it was a little over priced, but then again a whole lot cheaper than eating in Japan!

 

Fried Gyozya were pretty tasty, filled with mince pork and vegetables, served with a dipping sauce.

 

Yamagoya Restaurant is located along Jalan Gaya in the old Wishbone premises.

Ramen @ See Below - Asakusa

In Tokyo and I'm guessing all over Japan, quite a lot of restaurants display their food with plastic replicas in a glass cabinet or in their window. This is very handy for those of us who cannot speak or read Japanese, which I think is probably most people living outside of Japan! Though this isn't entirely fool proof as you still may not know entirely what you are getting, a bit like my game of Russian Roulette with Nasi Campur!
My pick today was, I think, Beef Ramen, the broth was extremely meaty with generous slices of beef that just melted in the mouth. There was also some pickled or preserved veg and a type of fish cake slice amongst the meat and noodles. Finely sliced spring onions were scattered on top of the bowl. Tasty and delicious.

The Little Nibbler opted for an omelette. The omelette came on top a bed of rice, with chicken and onion inside the egg mixture, and sliced dried seaweed on top. Miso soup and pickles were also served with this meal. Tea was served gratis. Yummy! Was the Nibbler's response. 

Sorry but I cannot tell you the name of this restaurant but if anyone can please leave a comment.

The restaurant is located in the tourist quarter of Asakusa, in the streets around Senso Ji Temple, where all the shop shutters are brightly painted, it's also located opposite some kind of theatre, as they were drumming up business, as we were having a late breakfast.
