Kuching Kolo Mee & Big Bad Wolf Pork Burger @ Kedai Kopi Kam Lee - Damai

The Little Nibbler had a craving for kolo mee tonight so we thought we'd head back to Kedai Kopi Kam Lee to see if the Sarawakian noodles lived up to The Nibbler's last loving memory of them!

I ordered the char siew kolo mee and was very pleased indeed! You get a generous portion of noodles with minced pork, sliced BBQ char siew, chopped chives and a little green veggie. Mix for maximum enjoyment and pour over the pickled chillis, yummy!

Pork belly kolo mee for The Nibbler, same ingredients as above but char siew is substituted for delicious, sweet tasting, belly pork. Smiles all round, it passed the test!

Big Bad Wolf Pork Burger caught my eye and my appetite, so I ordered a burger too! Who can resist a burger from the Big Bad Wolf ?!?

I really don't think my picture does justice to this wonderful porky treat. The pork patty is flavoursome and juicy and works brilliantly with the toppings of tomato, cucumber, cheese, chilli sauce and the deal clinching yellow mustard. This is one tasty burger!

Kedai Kopi Kam Lee is located in Damai's hawker centre. After looking at the Big Bad Wolf Pork Burger Facebook page, it seems they have 2 outlets, one here and one at Lido.

Hit 'n' Miss @ Kedai Kopi Kam Lee - Damai

It was a tale of two meals tonight at Kedai Kopi Kam Lee, a most definite hit and unfortunately, for me, a terrible miss! From what I could see there's four vendors operating from inside the coffee shop, offering western food, Penang kuih teow, Kuching kolo mee and dishes with rice. I'd like to add that most of the food coming out looked pretty good.

The Little Nibbler fancied the Kuching kolo mee with belly pork, savoury sweet, pork belly mixed with noodles, mince pork and some greens, really tasty, I know I got to have a taste! A great dish for 5 ringgit

I opted for the Japanese tofu with mince pork and rice, which looked quite appetizing on the picture menu, but when it arrived was covered in frozen mixed veg (my very least favourite thing) and the two mouthfuls I had, had gristle in the mince pork, sorry but a terrible miss!

Kitchai pings all round!

Be sure to try the Kolo Mee here, I'll be back for some and I'll probably try the Penang Kuih Teow too!!!
