Booze & Pizza @ Bitz n' Pizzas - Marlin Roundabout

It wasn't so long ago that this restaurant was called Luigi Malones, it was open for a short while, then closed, refurbished, and then reopened with the new name of Bitz n' Pizzas. The menu is slightly different but the pizza is the same great taste, so I'm slightly confused about the name change?!? But hey, the pizza's tasty so who cares!

We decided to order a large pepperoni to share, I can only describe the pizza base as unique as I havn't eaten anything like it before, well apart from at Luigi Malones! It's light thin and crispy, just how I like a pizza base, topped with tomato sauce cheese and pepperoni, yummy!

We also ordered a side of fries, crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle with a good helping of salt.

On a hot sunny afternoon, sometimes only a beer will do! Or 2 or 3 possibly!!!

Bitz n' Pizzas is located along the promenade at the 'marlin roundabout'.

The Bill : 1x Large Pizza, 1x Fries, 6 Glass Tiger, 2 Glass Water = 101.15 MYR

Great pizza and ice cold beer, I can think of worse ways to start the weekend!

Pizza Pasta @ Luigi Malones - Marlin Roundabout

We've been meaning to try Luigi Malone's for some time now, as we were in the area we decided to pop in for their great value, lunchtime menu.

I picked one of the pasta options, Meatball Spaghetti. Perfectly cooked spaghetti in a tasty tomato sauce. My only grumble would have to be the 'meatballs' I should have looked at the menu more carefully as the meat used was chicken, I would have much preferred beef, but hey, thats my fault! Also the meat wasn't in 'balls' exactly more like a patty cut into squares. But at this price there's no real complaint! The pasta came with lettuce, a piece of bruschetta and a sprinkling of parmesan.

Vegetariana Pizza for The Little Nibbler, no grumbles here at all!!! A lovely thin crust pizza, quite different to any other pizza base we've tasted in KK. Topped with tomatoes, onions and peppers, oh and lets not forget lovely, gooey cheese. "A really fresh tasting pizza" said The Nibbler, happily.

Kitchai Ping and Coke Light for drinks.

There's something for everyone on Luigi's Lunch Menu.

Luigi Malone's is located along Jalan Tun Fuad Stephen on the Marlin Roundabout, opposite The Hyatt. The special lunch menu is available everyday of the week, luckily for us, on bank holidays too!

The Bill : 2x Luigi's Lunch = 22 MYR

Luigi's gets my vote for delicious lunchtime pizza!
Already looking forward to my next visit!!!

50% Off Pizza Pasta @ Bella - Jalan Gaya

Bella have, and have had some great offers on lately, here's their long standing offer of '50% Off Pizza Pasta' available everyday from 3 till 7pm. When I came backpacking in Borneo for the first time in 2008 I took advantage of the offer back then! I'm pleased to say I'm still taking advantage of the offer now!!!

Here's my pizza creation of artichoke and black olives, so tasty, topped off with parmesan and chilli oil, if you like it hot, that is! This pizza definitely passed my perfect base test, thin, crispy and light. Delicious!

The Little Nibbler opted for pasta, fettuccine, puttanesca style, which I'm led to believe is Italian for prostitute!!! Well, I don't know about that, but what I can tell you is that this dish was absolutely delicious! fettuccine in a mildly spiced tomato sauce with olives, capers and chilli. Wow!

Homemade lemonade and local Tenom coffee.

We decided to indulge slightly and shared a chocolate pudding, taste wise it was great, very chocolatey, though it has to be said it was very runny inside and slightly burnt on the top.

Bella is a very well known restaurant located in the heart of KK, along Jalan Gaya.

The Bill : 1x Pizza, 1x Pasta, 1x Chocolate Pudding, 1x Lemonade, 1x Coffee = 57.40 MYR

Who can resist half priced delicious food!
Not me!!!

Pizza @ Speggi's - Perdana Park

There's nothing like eating hot Pizza straight out of the box. Luckily for me, the pizza inside the box from Speggi's is right up there with the best! One of my favourite toppings is Tuna and Pineapple but for some reason I forgot to add on pineapple to my order, oh well! The pizza base is of the thin and crispy variety, just how pizza should be in my opinion! Topped with tomato sauce, tuna and lots of melted, chewy cheese. Nice!

Our other selection was BBQ Chicken, pretty much the same as above but with savoury, smoky, chicken morsels. This is a must try pizza from Speggi's!

Speggi's is located at Perdana Park and is very brightly decorated, perfect for children's birthday parties.

You can also catch the musical fountain in action!

The Bill : 2x Pizza, 1x Fries = 53.57 MYR

Fantastic Pizza to eat in or take away! The Fries are pretty good too!!!

Pizza & Pasta @ Little Italy - Downtown

Judging by the evening crowds (and I mean every evening) Little Italy must be everyone's favourite Italian restaurant here in KK. It's definitely my first choice for Pizza.
Today we had an early evening craving for Italian food, so why not take advantage and beat the evening crowds!
I thought I'd try a new topping today and picked Pollo E Funghi which is marinated chicken with mushrooms. The chicken was plentiful and had a smokey, bbq taste along with fresh mushrooms and their wonderful tomato sauce, topped with chewy mozzarella cheese. The base is very important to me when it comes to pizza and Little Italy do a superb job with their thin and crispy base.

The Little Nibbler loves their Lasagne All Emiliana so this was todays selection. I was lucky enough to try this and it was delicious. Pasta sheets with a rich, minced beef sauce, lots of cheese and again that garlicky tomato sauce. Yum-yum!

Another favourite pick is the homemade lemonade, truly a refreshing drink on a hot sunny day or a hot and humid night!

Little Italy is located downtown below Capital Hotel and directly across the road from Wisma Merdeka.

Tasty!

Refreshing!

The Bill : 1x Large Pizza, 1x Lasagne, 2x Large Lemonade = 83.15 MYR

If you love great Pizza, Pasta and a lively, buzzing atmosphere head down to Little Italy any night of the week!

Pizza @ Decanter - KL LCCT

I had high hopes for Decanter, from the outside it had the look of a cozy Bistro but inside it was quite cavernous and more like a bar. Unfortunately the food wasn't up to much too, we ordered a Vegetarian Pizza and Fries. The Pizza looked promising but on closer inspection it looked like only half of it was properly cooked! It didn't taste homemade, more like a mass produced frozen variety and it was luke warm, possibly reheated in a microwave. Not very good at all, really should have sent it back!

The Fries were slightly better, but by no means great and were quite oily.

Thankfully no complaints with the ice cold white wine.

It says closed but it was open! Decanter is located next to the Tune Hotel at KL LCCT. I'm guessing it's open daily to cater to the hotel clientele.

Beer Menu.

The Bill : 1x Pizza, 1x Fries, 2x White Wine = 80.05 MYR

In my opinion stick to the drinks menu!

Pizza @ Sunset Bar And Grill - Nexus Resort & Spar

We decided for a change of scenery this evening so headed out to Nexus Resort and Spar for drinks and Pizza at their Sunset Bar And Grill. With a few different Pizzas to choose from, as well as Pasta dishes and Grills we opted for a Sunset Pizza, in keeping with the Sunset Bar theme. Marinated chicken pieces on top of corriander pesto, topped with mozzarella and tomato salsa. Normally we go for a more traditional topping but we thought we'd take a chance, the pizza was tasty enough with fresh ingredients also the base was perfect, for me this makes all the difference between an average and a great, handmade pizza. I think next time though I would definitely go traditional and not be so wacky! Haha!

Nexus is located roughly between KK and Tuaran on the beautiful Karambunai Peninsular. The resort is set in fabulous grounds on a picture postcard, perfect beach.

You can't beat a sunset at the Sunset Bar!

The Bill : 1x Pizza, 4x Draught Beer = 125.30 MYR

It's not the cheapest place around but the Pizzas are fantastic and the surroundings are simply wonderful!
